This works with almost all fabrics, just make sure you have two panels of the right height and width first.
Iron along all the edges, about 1cm over.

For this next part you will need hemming web, place it behind the folded over fabric and fold it over again onto the hemming tape.
Hold in place and carefully iron it. Repeat this step on each edge to the fabric.

Lots of curtain rods come with these rings, I used these and added the hooks below.

You can buy these at most shops like Spotlight, Lincraft and even IKEA(which is where I got mine)

Alternatively, you can get these as well and just clip your fabric straight on.

I did the same thing in our master bedroom, however after I prepped the fabric I then sewed it onto a block out fabric :)
