We have a milk man who comes twice a week with milk, bread and eggs and sometimes we get some fresh vegetables which arrive in a box with a lid. They leave the box and don't re-use it. In the past I kept the boxes for small things before we moved, now that we have moved I didn't know what to do with all the boxes that were stacking up. I figured that I could turn them into storage boxes for my laundry supplies that didn't really have a home.

I had some blue polka dot contact paper laying around and decided that it would work well in my laundry room.

I started by covering one side carefully.

Then the other.

After a bit of trial and error, I found that the best way to attach the contact paper was to lay in upside down and stick each flipped corner down on a solid surface, then place the side of the box down on top of it.

Front done and open handle covered.
I then cut open the section where there is a handle, attach a book plate and added a label.

It's a perfect fit for my laundry powders, stain removers, etc.

I love the result and am going to cover the others with more contact paper for other storage needs I have around the house.
